The Zen Life . . . .

Well, every one Zen has arrived. I am so sorry that my post is so late but I was recovering due to the c-section that I did not want but had to have. You see I deliver rather big babies so they had to put me under the knife again. Anyways, we have been blessed with little Zen. He looks just like Jude did when he was born but much lighter skin. He is a white boy:) He looks exactly like Jared's baby pictures. Zen weighed 8 lbs and 14 ounces at birth. He was born 8:47am on Valentine's morning. He is a very mellow baby but we've been having some issues recently due to his circumcision, the umbilical cord tearing, and his bum bum is chaffed. Since my poor son is going through these things he has been crying a lot more and has been unconsolable which can wear on your nerves but I always try to remind myself of the pain he is experiencing and it makes me more patient.

I love the smell of a new born baby. He smells so good. Is it weird that even their puke smells nice. I know it is gross but I think it is a mother thing...
Jared and Jude have been so great with Zen. Jared is a father in awe over his son. Jude has been playing big brother and is overly excited. We have to remind him to calm down some when he is around the baby. We have had a few jealously issues but he over came them. We had the "talk." Jared is in love all over again. You do not realize how much love you have to give.

Well I am extremely tired and will post more later on.
Welcome Zen Patrick Akiva Washkowitz. Patrick is my father's name, may he RIP. Akiva is Jared's grandfather's name RIP. This is a powerful name with a lot of meaning.

Jude was born in Miami and Zen was born in San Francisco. So, we have to have the next one in Hawaii where we will be living:)

Ciao..

This is so funny I had to share!!!

Lil' Johnny goes to his dad and asks, "What is politics?" Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way. I'm the breadwinner of the family, so let's call me Capitalism. Mommy is the administrator of the money, so we'll call her the Government. We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you The People. The nanny, well, consider her The Working Class. Your baby brother, we'll call him The Future. Now go think about this and see if it makes sense."So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying and runs to his room only to find that his diapers are very soiled. So the little boy goes to his parents' room. Mom is sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he looks through the peephole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed.The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I think I understand what politics is now.""Good son, tell me in your own words then what politics are."The little boy replies, "Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep shit."
